PBSI expanded its criminal justice offerings to include academy development and corrections in the first quarter of 2009. Drawing on its successful forensic programs PBSI has assembled a core group of advisors with decades of experience implementing criminal justice training programs within the U.S and internationally in post conflict and developing nations to coordinate the implementation of its criminal justice programs.
PBSI development programs utilize a holistic approach that focuses on the development of basic skills and proven management practices to establish a functional civilian police force and achieve sustainable reform.
PBSI experience in in post conflict and developing countries includes academy development and reconstruction, anti-human trafficking, border management, corrections and prison reform, counter narcotics, and clandestine laboratory training and operations. As rule of law advisors, PBSI assists funding agencies and host countries by providing management oversight to program operations and related activities, formulating policy recommendations, coordinating training missions, implementing community relation programs and ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory responsibilities.
